The Grand Prix Ball GOES TO THE PENINSULA, LONDON

On the 5th of July, the Grand Prix Ball 2023 was welcome motor racing heroes, sporting stars and celebrities to raise money for UNICEF, the humanitarian charity and the world’s leading organisation that works to build a better world for children. It operates in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

The event, one of London’s most sought after charity galas in the social calendar was hosted at the beautiful building and landscaped 42 acre grounds of the Hurlingham Club.

Grand Prix Ball

The Grand Prix Ball was founded in 2010 by entrepreneur and explorer Jonny Dodge. The glamorous, annual black-tie occasion is designed to raise money for charity and kick off the British Grand Prix weekend with a bang. The event will be hosted by Sky Sports commentator David Croft (aka Crofty), and will feature a special performance from Nadya Bychokva and Kai Waddington, the stars of Strictly Come Dancing. Guests will also be treated to music from Formula One legend and talented musician Eddie Jordan. A whole host of other well-known names will also be in attendance. Last year’s guests included the likes of Naomie Harris, Kimberly Wyatt, Max Rogers, Denise Van Outen, Konnie Huq, Heather Small, AJ and Curtis Pritchard.

Formula One

Formula One is one of the highest ranking popular professional sports in the world. Britain plays a huge part in the F1 scene with Lewis Hamilton being one of the world’s greatest racers. The annual GP Ball raises the reputation of the Grand Prix’s status in the UK.

The Founder

Jonny Dodge, founder of The Grand Prix Ball, said, “The past 12 months has seen many global disasters and emergencies, from the Turkey and Syria earthquakes to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, the work of Make a Wish is as important as ever. We are very excited and honoured to be partnering with such a hardworking global organisation as UNICEF, and very much look forward to welcoming all of our friends and supporters at The Peninsula on 3rd July.”
