Since 2011
From a bold vision to London's most prestigious motorsport gala, the Grand Prix Ball has written its own chapter in F1 history.
In 2011, Jonny Dodge created the Grand Prix Ball with a singular vision: to build the ultimate social event around the British Grand Prix. Hosted by Eddie Jordan and James Allen at the Hurlingham Club, with the Sugababes headlining and over £150,000 raised for CLIC Sargent, the inaugural Ball announced itself as something truly special.
Over the years, the event has grown from strength to strength, attracting F1 World Champions, Hollywood stars, chart-topping musicians, and captains of industry. The Ball has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for children's charities including The Prince's Trust, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish International, and now Rays of Sunshine — making it not just a celebration of motorsport but a genuine force for good.
Today, the Grand Prix Ball is held at The Peninsula London, one of the capital's finest hotels, and continues to set the standard for what a black-tie gala can be. With genuine F1 cars on display, world-class entertainment, and an atmosphere that is electric from start to finish, it remains the highlight of the British Grand Prix social calendar.
