Description

Harrison Mattresses is one of the World's top bedmakers, hand producing their beds and mattresses to the very highest standards and supplying some of the World's finest hotels and now you can sleep like a King or Queen on one of the finest mattresses in the land. Unlike other bedmakers, Harrison actually produce their own materials, including the springs and even the wool used within the fillings. Our beds don't start life in a factory but on the Harrison Spinks 300-acre farm in North Yorkshire. It is here that we rear sheep on rich untreated pastures and tend fertile fields of hemp and flax crops. Our hemp and flax crops produce super absorbent fibers, that help to absorb moisture from the mattress while you sleep, keeping you cool and dry. We use zero pesticides to grow our hemp and flax. Instead, these fibers are grown the way we believe they should be: naturally. This greatly lessens the impact on the environment by reducing CO2 emissions, which helps us and you rest easier. Quality, durability and sustainability are at the core of everything that Harrison stand for and their mattresses are hugely popular around the World as a result, featuring in a BBC documentary along the way. Dating back to 1840, Harrison is now a fifth-generation family-run business, hand-making their beds and mattresses in the Yorkshire countryside.

Each bed and mattress is made to the very highest of standards, something which has seen Harrison awarded for on numerous occasions, including Bed Manufacturer of the year and the Queens Award for Enterprise. Harrison Beds is the only bedmaker in the country to have its own farm. Whilst it may seem strange for a bedmaker to be raising sheep, it is this level of attention to detail that has set Harrison apart over the years, and they continue this philosophy to this day. Being able to control the quality and heritage of the materials that go into their mattresses was just as important nearly 200 years ago as it is today.
