We have some incredibly exciting news, the legendary David Coulthard will host this year’s Grand Prix Ball.
The Grand Prix Ball is a well seasoned part of the Silverstone Formula One week. Set at the stunning Hurlingham Club in South-West London, the ball is nothing short of spectacular. With endless champagne, legendary supercars and a star studded line up, having David there completes the pack. Known as DC, he was a driver active between the years 1994-2008.
David Coulthard started his racing career in karting when he was just 11, working his way up through the local championships and slowly gravitating south from his native Scotland and into Formula Ford in 1989, where he won the first ever McLaren/Autosport Young Driver of the Year award. In 1993, David’s big break arrived when he was asked to be a test driver for the world champion F1 team Williams/Renault. He was test driver for Williams at the time of Ayrton Senna’s tragic death, after which he was paired up with future world champion Damon Hill to complete the F1 season for the team.
David remained at Williams despite talk of him moving to McLaren for the 1995 season and won his first Grand Prix in Portugal that year. This success put him firmly in the public eye and his promising start in F1 had already brought the Scotsman to the attention of McLaren who signed him up in 1996 and he remained there for eight years. In 2008, he retired from the sport, but is still a familiar face around the paddock and on our television screens.
He will be joined by Eddie Jordan, Tiff Needell, The Gipsy Kings and many others. This is an event that cannot by missed. Get in contact with email@example.com for further details.
